It began more than twenty years ago, when kimPrints was founded as a printing and stationery company dedicated to creating beautifully crafted paper goods.
From the very beginning, quality wasn't something we inspected at the end—it was something we built into every step of the process.
That philosophy continues today.
While our medium has evolved from paper to canvas, our commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and beautifully made products remains exactly the same.
Today, every kimPrints needlepoint canvas is created using PrecisionPrint™—our proprietary production process developed from decades of experience producing premium printed products.
Unlike many design companies, kimPrints wasn't simply creating artwork and sending it to a printer.
We were the printer.
Everything happened in-house.
From original artwork and color management to production and quality control, we developed proprietary production methods that allowed us to control every stage of manufacturing and consistently deliver exceptional quality on a large scale.
Those years taught us an invaluable lesson:
The best products come from controlling the process.
When kimPrints expanded into needlepoint, we knew we wanted to bring that same philosophy with us.
As the needlepoint industry experienced canvas shortages and more production moved overseas, we saw an opportunity to apply decades of manufacturing expertise to create something better—a process that gave us greater control over quality while keeping as much of the craftsmanship as possible here in the United States.
That vision became PrecisionPrint™.

Every kimPrints canvas begins as original artwork created exclusively for our collections. Each design is thoughtfully prepared for needlepoint to create beautiful color, balanced composition, and an enjoyable stitching experience.
PRECISIONPRINT™
Using our proprietary PrecisionPrint™ process, every design is produced on premium mono canvas with exceptional consistency, color accuracy, and crisp stitch definition. The precision of the process creates the perfect foundation for every canvas.
HAND-FINISHED
Every canvas is individually hand-finished by kimPrints, ensuring every stitch is clearly defined and every canvas reflects the quality standards that have guided kimPrints for more than two decades.
FINAL QUALITY INSPECTION
Before any canvas leaves our studio, it is individually inspected to ensure it meets our standards for color, clarity, and craftsmanship.
